Late in November, amidst meals of plenty and the approach of the winter holidays, a full moon can call forth an ancient sound. Somewhere in the darkness, a Barred Owl fills the cold night with its haunting, unmistakable chorus, a sound that can make even the least outdoorsy person stop and listen, imagining the owl perched high in an old November oak, its call carrying through the bare branches and moonlit woods.
This piece is mounted on a 8x10" canvas and finished with Dorland's wax to preserve the painting. It is framed in a  hand made floating frame that is hang ready. Painting is 10x8", overall piece measures 11x9".
