This watercolor painting of a Chipping Sparrow highlights the warm russet browns these vocal little birds bring to the northwoods.  Often first to arrive in the spring and last to leave in the fall, Chipping sparrows spend the summer eating insects and making lots of noise in the northwoods along the edges of clearnings.  This piece is mounted on a 5x7" canvas and finished with Dorland's wax to preserve the painting. It is framed in a  hand made floating frame that is hang ready. Painting is 5x7", overall piece measures 6x8".
