I'm always looking for great subjects to paint from. I'm a member of a Birding Group on Facebook and recently asked them if I anyone would let me use their photograph to paint from. And so many kind people volunteered! I anticipate many more amazing designs coming up due to the overwhelming response. This is the first piece I completed. I am really quite proud of it but I could not have completed with without my new friend Christine who provided pictures for me to work from as I got started! I will send her the original painting and I can utilize the painting image to make lovely collections of prints, cards or whatever might catch my fancy. I am so pleased to have access to the photos she takes to reference. She is an avid birder and naturalist and not only did I get to use the picture, I met someone who shares the same passions that I do!
