Loons are rare birds who nest only on quiet lakes.  I'm lucky enough to have a couple of lakes close by where I can visit a nesting pair regularly.  This painting reflects the last glimpse of a loon before they migrate south for the winter. 
This original watercolor piece is 5"x7", and it matted to 8x10" to fit in any standard frame.  A nice piece to tuck on a shelf or hang in a small space.
